- On March 6th, we attended the La Quinta Arts Festival
- This is one of the biggest in California (and the US)

- The Palm Desert Street Fair is the biggest flea market I have seen so far

- The parking lots are covered with arrays of photocells to generate power for the nearby college

- Fresh fruit dates are plentiful here and taste great

- On March 10th, we went to the second day of free qualifying tennis at Indian Wells, $20 to park (Ouch!)

- The main museum is in Palm Springs. This is a nice secondary museum.

- Rafa played great, fun to watch him in doubles

- Penneta ended up ousting the #2 seed, Sharipova

- March 20th - On our way through the mountains to San Diego
- We met up with son Steve, who was in San Diego on business
